Conservatives see Gov. Palin as good VP pick

Richard Viguerie's ConservativeHQ.com, as part of a series of daily polls to get respondents' feedback on possible vice presidential picks, recently asked its conservative and TEA Party readership for their opinions of Sarah Palin as a running mate for the 2012 GOP presidential nominee. This is how they voted:
69% Favorable. Would make me more likely to work and vote for the Republican ticket.

16% Unfavorable. Would make me less likely to work and vote for the Republican ticket.

13% Neutral. Would not change my likelihood of working and voting for the Republican ticket.

2% Undecided.
It's all a purely academic exercise, however, because even if Mitt Romney would be disposed to choose Gov. Palin, which he's not, his conservaphobic supporters would never allow him to do such a thing. Not that she would even consider, much less accept, such an offer. It was Romney supporters inside the McCain campaign who turned against her in 2008. Been there, done that, got the knife in her back.

Establishment Republicans, in fact, are still in full attack mode against the party's 2008 vice presidential candidate to the extent that there remains some question about what role, if any, Gov. Palin will be allowed to have in Tampa Bay at Mitt Romney's convention at the end of August. All of the above may help explain why SarahPAC has a Plan B. No, GOP-e, Sarah Palin will not sit down and shut up. Nor will her Army of Davids.
