Gov. Palin will rally with Ted Cruz in Texas Friday (Updated)

Sean Sullivan at Hotline On Call is reporting that Sarah Palin will be in the Houston area Friday night for a campaign rally with U.S. Senate hopeful Ted Cruz:

It will be rare campaign trail appearance by the former vice presidential nominee, who endorses in congressional races from time to time, but rarely travels to stump on behalf of her preferred candidate.

South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, as well as local and national tea party leaders, will also attend the GOTV rally at the Woodlands, north of Houston.

Sullivan says Gov. Palin's decision to travel to Texas is the latest in a series of recent signs that Cruz is poised to pull off a upset in the primary against well-funded opponent David Dewhurst.
