Gov. Palin doesn't rule out a future run for office

Asked about a possible future run for president Sunday on Fox News' "America's News Headquarters," Sarah Palin said she would still consider throwing her hat into the ring for some elected position in the future. "We'll see what the future holds," the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said. The question was just one of several she fielded that had been submitted by FNS viewers via social media.

The former Alaska governor also commented on the "odd style" of Joe Biden in the recent VP debate. She said after wading thru the Vice President's demeanor, it was clear "everyone knew" that Paul Ryan had won.

Her advice to Mitt Romney was to try to convince voters that government can become irrelevant in our daily lives. She said the two issues he should concentrate on are taxes and jobs.

In response to a viewer's question asking whether she would serve a Secretary of State if asked, the governor replied that she did not expect to be asked, but she would consider helping a Romney Administration in any way that she could.

Gov. Palin was amused by one viewer's question asking if she would take him hunting and another one inquiring how many situps she could do. She said she didn't know.

A more serious viewer question was about the energy issue. Gov. Palin said she was hoping the next president would understand how much crude oil and natural gas the U.S. has and would tap into it to help make the nation more energy independent.

In reply to US for Palin editor Ron Devito's question about how her youngest son Trig was doing, she said the "rowdy little healthy four-year-old is the light of our lives," and she will take him with her to Los Angeles where she will be in the audience for daughter Bristol's next appearance on "Dancing With The Stars."

On the death of former Sen. Arlen Specter, Sarah Palin said she was "sad for his loved ones," adding that she appreciated his many years of public service.
