Sarah Palin: Obama admin lies about Libya attack ‘atrocious’ and ‘appalling’

Gov. Palin appeared on Fox News' "On The Record" Tuesday night, shortly after news broke that emails show the Obama Administration knew the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was being carried out by terrorists as it was happening. Gov. Palin told host Greta Van Susteren that the media's cover for the administration has been blown. "They knew and they lied," she said, calling the coverup "atrocious" and "appalling."

Alaska's first female governor and the GOP's first woman vice presidential candidate said "It breaks my heart" that our troops are fighting for American principles such as free speech and a free press while the press helps Obama's administration cover up for its failures and lies.

The Tea Party favorite also said that President Obama, by attempting to blame sequestration on the Congress during Monday night's debate, has "no respect" for the different branches of the federal government or for the U.S. Constitution.
